Canton Strategic Holdings to Launch Tokenized Stock Trading on Canton Network in November

Cointelegraph · Sam Bourgi

Canton Strategic Holdings, listed on Nasdaq and formerly known as biotech company Tharimmune, revealed plans to tokenize its common stock using the Canton Network platform. Trading of these tokenized shares is anticipated to begin on November 2.

The company announced it has formed partnerships with TSV LLC—a trading platform specializing in tokenized securities—and Fairmint, a transfer agent registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), to facilitate this blockchain listing. These tokenized shares will offer shareholders the same rights as the existing Nasdaq-listed stock.

Shares currently trade on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol CNTN, with an average daily volume near 757,704 shares, according to Yahoo Finance. The stock recently rose over 4.5%, trading at approximately $2.13 per share, carrying a market value around $170 million.

Trading of tokenized shares will be accessible 24/7 via an automated market maker, ensuring instant settlement on the Canton Network blockchain. Fairmint will manage ownership records and ensure compliance throughout share transfer processes.

This initiative comes in the wake of a September SEC innovation exemption aimed at establishing regulatory frameworks that enable domestic trading of tokenized U.S. securities.

Canton Strategic Holdings pivoted towards digital assets in November 2025 after securing $545 million to build an enterprise around its cryptocurrency, Canton Coin. The firm rebranded in February and now holds the coin, assists with Canton Network operations, and actively invests in blockchain-based projects.

Although named Canton Strategic Holdings, the firm is not the developer of the Canton Network—that role belongs to Digital Asset. Nevertheless, it maintains close ties with the Canton Foundation through investments and active participation in network governance.
